Arrow Therapeutics is a fully integrated pharmaceutical company, focused exclusively on the discovery and development of novel antiviral therapeutics. Established in 1998 and acquired by AstraZeneca in February 2007, Arrow currently has 58 employees working in state-of-the-art laboratory and office space in central London.
Within our focus on antiviral therapies, Arrow specialises in small molecule drugs with novel mechanisms of action. This focus has resulted in an exciting product pipeline - the lead compound RSV604 is a first-in-class small molecule antiviral against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) which was licensed to Novartis in June 2005 and is currently in Phase II trials. The most advanced of our Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) programmes is a Phase II NS5A inhibitor, the latest and potentially most promising new antiviral target in HCV. Earlier stage projects on Dengue Virus and Influenza are at the discovery stage.
Since its foundation, Arrow was well supported by a consortium of international investors who provided over £40 million in funding.
